Celebrate it like your birthday, it's quite something!
It's from tomorrow March 3rd till 12nd, 6pm-9:30pm everyday during the period.
They illuminate the area of Higashiyama, which literally means "eastern mountain" where many tourist attractions are, and where you can feel the touch of traditional Kyoto.
No entrance fee except when you would like to have a look at illuminations at temples (around 500 yen).
Please do not complain about this fact. Temples have powers in Kyoto, you know. They do not even pay taxes...blah blah blah.
(I know churches are usually free, right? I know I know).
But It's worth it. Right? Go and check it's amazing!
